Bereavement Champion Training for Schools

Penhaligon’s Friends & Cornwall Educational Psychology Team have teamed up in the hope that each school in Cornwall will, not only be showing proudly their ‘Grief Awareness Logo’ but that they will all have a ‘Bereavement Champion’ who can, on behalf of the wider school community, be a go to for advice on how to support a bereaved child.

In this 2 part training course we will cover basic childhood loss & grief, typical reaction to bereavement, what bereaved children need, your role as a Bereavement Champion and implementing a whole school ethos around managing bereavement in a healthy way.

We are hosting this session on Zoom.
