We rely purely on donations to keeps us going. Being a small charity means that every penny we get is ploughed straight into helping people who are struggling with bereavement. Whatever you can give will help someone, somewhere.
If you have an idea for a fundraising event please get in touch with us and we will publicise it on the website as well as in the newsletter.
We welcome any donations, from the smallest coffee morning to the bigger events such as concerts or large sponsored challenges. Nothing is too small!
It's so easy to create a fundraising page for Penhaligons Friends. Just go to JustGiving, create your page and select us as your charity and you're done. Fast You can create a page in less than a minute. Make it yours with a story, photos, and video. Use JustGiving to share your page with friends. Watch as the donations start rolling in. You don’t have to chase anyone - JustGiving will transfer 100% of donations to Penhaligons Friends within days.
Fundraising doesn’t have to be large-scale or complicated! Here’s an idea that anyone can start off with: “The expanding Coffee Morning” nvite five friends round for coffee, charging them just £2 each. (that will raise £10 for Penhaligon’s Friends) Ask each of them to hold a coffee morning for five friends, again charging £2 each (that will raise a further £50 – 25 people times 2). Ask those 25 people to each hold a coffee morning for five of their friends and that will raise £250 – increasing your total to £310 !
Other Ways To Help
Raise money for Penhaligon's Friends just by searching the web! www.everyclick.com is an internet search engine with a big difference - it donates half its revenues to charity! Just make www.everyclick.com/uk/penhaligonsfriends your home page and make sure you use it whenever you search the web! It does not cost us, or you, a penny so please use it to support Penhaligon's Friends.
Here's another lazy way of doing it!
If you have any empty printer cartridges or mobile phones that are no longer needed we can make good use of them by sending them off to be recycled. This in turn will help to raise funds for our organisation. The phones must have the SIM card removed and preferably have their charger. Printer cartridges, except for Epson, can generally be recycled and should be in an empty box. For further details please contact us in the office on 01209 210624. This is an easy way of doing something practical to help all round. Start now!
