New Booklet
We launched our 5th booklet on 21st March 2011; ‘A Step at a Time’ is a handbook for families to help support children when someone is seriously ill. Dame Annette Penhaligon attended and remarked on the beautiful illustrations and how it was a much needed resource. The booklet was sponsored by The Evelyn May Charitable Trust. The booklet, and a new advice leaflet to support it, is available form the office.

Royal Cornwall Show
Penhaligon’s Friends was joined by CRUSE Bereavement Care at the Royal Cornwall Show this year. We were promoting bereavement support in Cornwall. It was a very successful day where we had the opportunity to engage with the public as well as our colleagues at CRUSE.

Penhaligons Day 2011
Our first Penhaligon’s Day on 10th June 2011 in schools across Cornwall was a huge success, the current total is £10,880.00. That’s an amazing amount, and we are delighted! A big thank you to all staff and students for their efforts. We had a ‘back to front clothes’ day, cake sales, non- uniform day, dance-a-thon, teddy bears picnics and a school pond named after us!

Many thanks to Wesley Methodist Church, Camborne who raised an amazing total of £2160.85 for Penhaligon’s Friends. Prue Willday, Trustee attended to collect the cheque and thank the church for their support.
Helston Lions Club raised £362 for us by selling knitted Christmas decorations!
