Big Lottery Fund Award -Reaching Communities Grant
Recognition for the vital work that Penhaligon's Friends does with bereaved children has come in the form of a generous grant totalling £305,790 over 5 years from the Reaching Communities Programme, part of the Big Lottery Fund. This programme aims to help those most in need and to build stronger communities. It will enable us to offer more support to the many children who are referred to us by schools, to set up two new teens groups in other parts of the county to complement the existing Break it Down teens group and to instigate peer support groups in schools. The funding will also help us to continue to offer our ongoing range of services to children across Cornwall.
We are very grateful to the Big Lottery Fund for this grant and what it will allow us to do to support bereaved children.
